decorations for Easter

With all the cute decorations showing up everywhere and Easter being a bit later this year, I am working on a yard art piece. To decide on colors I designed a card first and then cut the wood for the yard art. Will be painting it up quickly now. Took all day for me to do the card, Here is my original designed card. Pretty much similar to others as eggs and bunnies have been around for ever. And now that I have it posted I see I missed adding the little egg in hand I was sketching out. hmmm. ok so will do it on the big one, LOL

Finished the yard art, it is 18 x 10 x 1/2" wood.

Ok Me Bad

not doing much painting, but just sketched this, not so good but a start. Was thinking back when Mum had plants all over the house and put her collectibles in and around them. this may or may not be one of them, but it appeared in my mind, so just quickly sketched on a small note pad

And this is what I started to paint, a 10x2 flameless candle with a pattern by Susie Saunders Heart of Byfield called Happy 4th of July. not sure how many of the little details and people I will add yet. still pondering, that is something I am good at doing, LOL

Golden Toad

Inspired to paint a toad thanks to Bobbie Takashima, she does the most whimscial toads ever and of course frogs and othe great stuff. This is a must see website if you paint and love fantasy especially.
She suggested everyone needs to paint a toad, so decided on the golden one, painted on cardstock to use as a card to cheer someone.

Weekly Paintings

Alright I know, its should be a Painting a Day, but realistically I sure would not keep that going for long so decided to try doing a painting a week. Thinking these will be all from photos by friends with their permission or ones my husband or I have taken. There are just so many I have been wanting to try my hand at so this is a good way to start?? We shall see.
